Message: <blockquote data-quote="rapa" data-source="post: 1793492" data-attributes="member: 212">Madras High Court Additional Judge Sethuraman had issued an order preventing the release of the film 'Prabhakaran' to Director Thusahara Peiris following a petition filed by Thol Thirumavalavan - leader of the pro-LTTE Tamil Nadu party Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katch – alleging that the movie was anti-Tamil.According to Divaina Defence Correspondent the judge has issued summons on Chief and Home Secretary, 'Prabhakaran' producer Osmund Silva and Director Thusahara Peiris to inform court on this matter within two weeks. Te director was severely assaulted by pro-LTTE thugs recently as coming out of the Gemini Studios Madras where the film was processed. The studios have refused to release the negatives of the film to the director without an order from the Indian Government.  It is alleged that Thirumavalavan is behind the robbery of the negatives.Another pro-LTTE group has reportedly asked Chennai High Court to ban the film.Earlier Thirumavalavan's party called for pardon to Nalini who was convicted of having conspired to assassinate Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1991.   The LTTE remains a banned organization in India.</blockquote>
