As usual the idiots who we elected to govern the country have started this new procedure of trying use rice-flour instead of cornflour. To some Sri Lankan people this may translate to a "GOOD" thing but actually it is because they do not know how bad rice is for the body. The main food of any country has to be very important. The primary food judges the outcome of everything in the country. Right, I'm probably going to get bombed for saying this but it is true... Rice does not contain any vitamins!!! It only contains small amounts of vitamin B and the rest is just fat! I think I found why people in the U.S. can run at 80 years and why people in Sri Lanka cannot even get out of the bed for that matter. Africa found this out the hard way... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_A_deficiency . So if your children are having eye sight problems... don't blame the TV! (There is no such thing) The culprit is on your plate everyday.... Now before everyone says "You bastard" at me read http://www.organicfacts.net/nutrition-facts/cereals/nutritional-value-of-corn-and-rice.html Corn flour is what bread is made out of.... even though it is not good for the economy it is better for long term health of the people. Now one may say "vegetables"... think out of the box (you may be rich to have, time to cook).... how many Sri Lanka's have a balanced diet? or can afford one? Which is why our primary food has to contain all the nutrition's required for a human to start with. Now yes... red rice is good but who eats it now a days? So right again coming back to the question. Is it worth to eat rice and protect the economy? or is it worth to eat healthy and be healthy! Remember! Health is Wealth! I want to take this to the paper... I'll probably be shot dead because, who is going to accept that the "Sinhalese main food is the problem"... Sinhalese heads are too big nowadays...
