However, according to VR-Zone, the R600's rumored March introduction will be a paper launch. The site says the card <a href="http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4572" target="_blank">won't actually hit stores</a> until April, which would be roughly five months after the hard launch of Nvidia's GeForce 8800-series cards in early November 2006. VR-Zone says AMD is also prepping R600 derivatives dubbed R630 for the mid-range market and R610 for the low-end, and that those GPUs will be launched in April, with availability in May.</p></blockquote><p></p>
