Some words we say can be offensive to the recepient depending on their background. My sister was in the uni when i was in final year, i just didnt go near her when she was talking to seniors. I didnot ask how she did at rag season neither she tell me. But she never cmplained of any extraordinary things. I obviously told what could happen in advance and she glided thrugh rag and nobody even knew we are related until rag was over. This is the way it should be as we are both adults. I never tried to protect my sister because i knew there is nothing can happen and its safer than outside. Guys, just take uni as a place where all adults go, its a complete change to the people from school or tuition class atmosphere. I appreciate kunuharupa is so shocking to someone hears it first time, may be they dont understand it too. They are just words with no meaning unless you lose focus and imagine a story around them. Nobody will ever touch a junior at rag at pera (not even man to man), so its only all twisting of words. After the rag season juniors can chose who to accept as friends or just keep ignoring seniors , its up to them. Normally everyone blends after the rag season and end of story. I was once attacked by a drunk in a colombo fort, I was flooded with kunuharupa but i have heard it all before which were just a few words and replied in the same language staying calm that made him back away. Things can save you sometime, especially to avoid a guti mura!!I am not trying ot justfy anybodys actions just speculating bout the content of the post. I may be wrong ,just my honest thought in this..</blockquote>
