All praise is due to Allah. May Allah send His peace and blessings upon the beloved Messenger (SAW) and upon his companions, his family, and all who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.   Assalama Alaykum wa Rahmat Allahi wa Barakatu. As we enter Ramadan, we are honored by Allah, Subhanhu wa Ta'ala, and we praise His Majesty for the abundant blessings of this remarkable, and distinguished month. Ramadan is the month in which good deeds are multiplied by 70, or even more if Allah pleases. Insha-Allah, let us quickly reflect on some very important elements to focus on this Ramadan:  Fasting: It's not just your stomach, but it is your tongue, your eyes, your ears, and your whole body that observes the fast. This means that your tongue must not say anything Haram, such as lying, cussing, backbiting, etc. Your eyes cannot look at something haram, such as the opposite gender who is not a relative, unless it be accidentally, and even then, turn away at once.Your ears must not listen to haram, so stay away from those who use foul language, and from musical gatherings, as well as any gathering which shaytan would love to be a part of.  Qur'an: Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, and for this reason, we should multiply our recitation of that blessed book that's been collecting dust all year, and deeply reflect on its meanings, for it was sent as a mercy to us to bring us out of the darkness of its void and into the brightness of its guidance.  Taqwa: This is fearing Allah's punishment in your actions, and being a! ware tha t Allah is watching over your every deed. Use this month to take become more conscience of Allah, by doing what pleases your Creator, and staying as far away as possible from what displeases him so that you may attain the great rewards Allah has in store for us.  Du'aa: This is incredibly overlooked. All you need to do is to be sincere with Allah by telling Him what you need. Allah already knows, but He is waiting for you to ask Him so that He can give it to you. If you want something, whether it's in this world or in the Hereafter, then just ask the One who owns the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them, and if you are sincere, Insha-Allah you will receive it if He sees it in your best interest. There are many more great deeds to focus on in this month whose every moment is priceless, but these are among the highest that every Muslim can focus on throughout the entire month.   We sincerely ask Allah to accept from us our fasts and our prayers, and to enter us into Jannatul Firdaws with His beloved Messenger(S).  Jazakum Allahu khair.  Wassalamu Alayku! m wa Rah mat Allahi wa Barakatu. <a href="http://islamicemirate.com/" target="_blank">IslamicEmirate.com</a>.</blockquote>
