Most software does some error checking on each data packet and request it again if it is damaged. But we can't guarantee it. My preferred way to download large files is via a torrent client. Its normally very safe and damages are very minimum. But the problem is we can't find torrents for all the files. Its a good option for movies and games. Hope this helps. Bit technical but I think you are ok with it.And remember don't try to repair the corrupted file(especially .rar or .zip files). There are software which claim to fix broken files but non works. technically its not possible to repair a damaged file.</blockquote>
