But 2 minutes later Wesley drew first blood when Aakil Affam kicked and chased successfully to touch down. Stand Off Azmil Omar was not on target with the conversation. Though the Thomians tried their level best to score Wesley defence stood rock solid.</p><p></p><p>Come the second half Thomians were totally different in their play. They opted to work their line. It was Centre Anuruddha Willawara who kicked and chased successfully to score the first try for the Black and Blue jersey.</p><p></p><p>Stand off Tishan Wickremasinghe was on target with the kick at goal to take a 7-5 lead. Winger Udara Pathum Silva dashed right corner flag to touch down to increase the Thomian lead to 12-5. In another forwards rush Shavin Kapuwatte touched down.
