The highlight of the game was the Peterites scoring as many as 14 tries in the first half to make 90 points which is a school rugby record. The highest score in a school rugby game was scored by Royal College Colombo against Royal College Panadura which was 172-0 in a friendly game but the Peterites now hold the record for the highest score in an ‘A’ division schools rugby game.</p><p></p><p>The Cambrians looked no match for the Peterites who scored their first try under 30 seconds from the kick off through skipper Keith Gurusunghe. They played at a rapid pace from then on till the end of the first half. From there on the Peterites scored 26 tries in the game with 14 in the first half and 12 coming in the latter.</p><p></p><p>There were several instances of individual brilliance by Winger Sandun Herath(5),skipper Keith Gurusinghe(3),Centre Banuka Nanayakkara, Full Back Kevin Wimaladasa and Replacement Winger Banuka Peiris who scored twice each for the Peterites. Winger Lakith Perera, Flanker Shenal Dias, Shan Weerakkody and Shenal Abeysekera also contributed to the win by scoring a try each. Scrum Half Rizwan Meedin too played a vital part in the game by making 13 conversions for the Peterites.</p><p></p><p>Nevertheless the most significant performance was put up by Outside Centre Dhanushka Ranjan who scored eight brilliant tries of which seven were scored in the second half for the Peterites.
