The institution has so far made no request regarding building of  such a hospital, a spokesman of the Ministry said.Recent  reports had claimed that the Ministry of Health has granted approval for  the construction of a hospital by the South Asian Institute of  Technology and Management (SAITM).The Ministry however says  there is no truth to these reports and that if a private hospital is to  be built in the country approval should be obtained from the Private  Hospitals Development Unit of the Health Ministry.However, last  year the private medical college had made a request from the Health  Ministry to conduct clinical studies.
