Gnanam died in Singapore on Tuesday. He was 84.</p><p>Father of three daughters and three sons, Mr. Gnanam was ill for about two weeks and was flown to Mount Elisabeth hospital in Singapore where he died.</p><p>His body will be brought to Colombo today. The ONGC Videsh Ltd said the company’s own experience in India’s Kaveri basin would help them to explore oil and gas in the neighboring Sri Lanka.
