My personal approach is that minorities in this country have lived for many years with a Sinhala majority and you can see are a lot of similarities between them. I have a lot of regard for the Tamil culture especially and the Muslim culture, although I am a Sinhala Buddhist. The cultures have a lot of similarities so I think that they can live together as one nation. Some people try to say that there are no minorities. The reality is that there are minorities and there is a majority but we must all live in one country as brothers.
