Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 7060159" data-attributes="member: 92282">The head office of the Sirasa TV and radio at  Braybrooke place Colombo 2 came under attack by a mob a shortwhile ago,  eyewitnesses said. A mob reported to have been sent by a minister of the UPFA pelted stones  at the building damaging the glasses and several vehicles. The staff of the Sirasa office also had retaliated with using the stones  used by the mob forcing the attackers to withdraw.  However they  continued the attack from outside the building until the police arrived. Police have arrested a dozen of persons involved in the attack. Eyewitnesses said that some of the attackers had claimed they were sent  by minister Mervyn Silva. Security staff at the Sirasa office were seen making use of  water  hydrants to prevent the mobs advancing. sundaytimes</blockquote>
