Not long after that we heard rumors that there might be a different device in the works for the rest of the world, but evidence has been found that Sony was planning on using the Xperia Z3+ monicker for the Xperia Z4, outside of Japan.That’s exactly what the company just did. The Sony Xperia Z3+ announced today is identical to the Japanese Xperia Z4, and a slight upgrade over the Xperia Z3 (hence the naming convention Sony opted for). Weighing 144gr. and measuring 6.9mm in thickness, the Z3+ packs the same 5.2-inch screen with Full HD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card), 20.7 megapixel camera with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor behind the lenses and Sony’s own BIONZ image processor, 5.1 megapixel webcam, and a 2,930mAh battery. Of course, water and dust resistance has been kept, at IP65/68.Color options will include Black, White, Copper (available to Vodafone customers), and Ice Green (a Carphone Warehouse exclusive). June is when the smartphone should become available globally, but pricing has not yet been confirmed.
