By following this convention, the transliterations from Tamil script into Sinhala will be accurate. For some Tamil letters, I have given some underlined Sinhalese letters.  ண = ණந = නர = රல = ලழ = ළள = ළ ற = රன = න I hope that this will be of help to Sinhalese trying to learn Tamil. By using the underline under the the coresponding Sinhalese equivelents of those sound for which letters are not found in the Sinhalese alphabet, we are immitating the western phonetic convention of placing an underline under l, r and n respectively to represent the letters, ழ, ற, and ன.</blockquote>
