It is the duty of the new officers and airmen to carry this pride of victory unblemished into the future,” he said.He made these observations when he addressed the newly commissioned officers and passed out airmen at Air Force Base in China Bay, yesterday.  He reminded them that it was the prime duty of all those who were passing out to protect the sovereignty of their motherlandMr. Rajapaksa participated at occasion as the chief guest of the commissioning and wings parade, at which six pilots and ten others were commissioned and 329 regular and volunteer airmen passed out. Air Force Chief Roshan Goonatilake and a large number of senior and junior officers participated at the event.
