Because 98% of thses school cricketers don't play at the domestics.They just ends their cricket at the school level. So why do we waste time by playing longer format at school level?Also due to this poor longer format ,we dont see close games at all. One school will score 400 runs other school either lose all wickets for 100 and next inning save the match by 130 for 8 or ended up losing.
