Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 9894476" data-attributes="member: 92282">NFF urges Russia, China to defend SL    (Wimal Weerawansa's Party)     The National Freedom Front (NFF/JNP) yesterday urged Russia and China to  defend Sri Lanka against the report issued by the United Nations Experts  Panel.     “We call on Russia and China to stop the United States, France and  Britain from monopolizing the UN. The UN has failed as an organization  for world peace and as such Russia and China must set up a new world  order,” NFF MP Piyasiri Wijenayake told the media.      He described UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as a US puppet and  claimed Mr. Ban was being used as a pawn in a conspiracy to take  President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa to  the International Criminal Court (ICC).      “We will not allow them to do this, we will protest any move to take  our war heroes to the ICC. It will only be done over our dead bodies,”  Mr. Wijenayake said.      He accused Mr. Ban of presenting the report as one issued by the UN.      “The panel was set up to advice him but Mr \ban is presenting the  report as a UN report. The UN consists of more than 190 countries and no  panel can be set up without a resolution passed in the General Assembly  and no country can be investigated for war crimes without the approval  of the Security Council,” Mr. Wijenayake said.
