They think that Atlantis will have a lot of weapons and other technology which will help them fight their enemies. A large team of people are sent to Atlantis. The problem is that, Earth has a thing called a ZPM, which helps power the gate enough to make a wormhole to the other galaxy, but when they go through the gate, they won't have a ZPM to get back to Earth. Throughout the first season, they explore Atlantis, investigate the different technologies, and explore the worlds in the galaxy.</p></blockquote><p></p>
