Eelam is the name given to Sri Lanka in Tamil. it's actually not just their dream region. Sri Lanka has been Eelam since age of Anuradhapura kingdom(just the name given by Tamils). Tamils always have been want to capture the Ceylon (Srilanka) and make it their land. this is not just a 30 years old long conflict. this struggle is old as much as the struggle between Christians and Muslims. so it's not that easy to push one's way and solve the matters.I sense one day either Srilanka or Tamil Nadu state would be incised to make their Eelam somehow until that the conflict might exist.</blockquote>
