Emerging in an industry shadowed by pretentiousness and feigned artistry Stigmata carved a platform for Original Sri Lankan Hard Rock & Heavy Metal; all forms extreme and subtle in early 2000.The Band organized and performed concerts wherever they could throughout the island, diversifying their repertoire and sometimes performing 50-60 songs a night. Stigmata significantly introduced the genre's greatest legends to the Sri Lankan audience, music by Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Metallica, Megadeth to the cutting edge underground artistes of the time while interlacing their original compositions into the repertoire - slowly captivating and seducing the audiences with their unique sound and authentic style.
