[QUOTE="monson, post: 28643121, member: 30005"] February 27, 2023 at 8:42 PM Tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka have passed 100,000 for the 2nd consecutive month. According to Tourism Minister Harin Fernando, 100,536 tourists have arrived until the 26th of February. “February 2023 already have passed 100,000 tourists in 26 days with two more days to go. Congratulations to everyone working hard to promote Sri Lanka,” Minister Harin Fernando said. “There were so many travel advisories against Sri Lanka, we worked hard to lift them and got the airlines to come back to Sri Lanka with tourists again. I like to thank the tourism industry and our officials for the effort they put into revive the industry,” the Minister added. The minister said that the Tourism Promotion Bureau has planned many tourism promotional road campaigns overseas in the upcoming weeks. “Everything has worked well, unfortunately in Sri Lanka, no one gives credit to any one, so I don’t need credit, but hope this keeps going for Sri Lanka’s sake,” the Minister said.
