This is the biggest (7 seater) SUV made by Mercedes, a turbo charged diesel V6..  Rod bearing failure after 10 years and 180,000 kms of use.. Complete bottom-end rebuild required.  Regularly serviced as per manufacturer recommended schedule of course..  I had a good look at the engine bay, looking at design and various materials/components used, it all looks like utter garbage for an expensive car.. Some disintegrating plastics/rubber and minor oil weeps everywhere..</blockquote>
