The attack had been carried out about 2.5 km from the 223rd regiment headquarters. The Security forces say terrorists’ target would have been the bus that was travelling from Anuradhapura which is usually packed with passengers. For some reason that bus had got late today and is parked at the 223rd headquarters. All those injured in the incident have been admitted to Padaviya hospital.
