The film also showcases the years in 1940’s and 1950’s during which Julia Child and her husband Paul (Stanley Tucci) stayed in Paris, where Paul worked a foreign diplomat and was in the end investigated by Sen. Joseph McCarthy as he was suspected for having ties with the communists.</blockquote>
