Today she said she had been given a new lease of life after teacher Ray Coe donated his kidney.“He is a very good man and he was very kind to me when I was very sick. I’m very happy to be at school now that I have my new kidney,” she said. “I don’t have headaches, dizziness and vomiting now.”Alya, from Stratford, has just returned to Royal Docks Community School in Custom House following the operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital in February.Mr Coe, 53, a special educational needs co-ordinator at her school, said: “I’m just pleased to see Alya doing so well.
