Police Spokesperson SP Preshantha Jayakody said Susil was arrested in the morning following a complaint lodged by a woman, who had claimed to be Susil’s mistress for the past two years. She had said he had abused and threatened her and had requested for the police to intervene, as she feared for her life.     According to the woman, Susil had abused several other women and she feared for her life since he possessed several illegal firearms as well.
