He made this point by recalling that the  government had accused the UN Secretary General of violating Sri Lanka’s  sovereignty by trying to interfere with the country’s internal matters.  He also pointed out that some ministers even staged death fasts against  Mr. Moon in the recent past.          “The government had failed to suggest an alternative candidate for the  UN Secretary General;’s post though it comprises ministers who suggested  an alternate UN organization,” UNP MP said.
