Upgrades over the existent K800 are both hardware and software-related. The active lens cover is much more slimmer now and doesn't protrude from the body the way it did with K800. Besides being a lot thinner than its predecessor, the Sony Ericsson K810 will be equipped with a Photo Fix application for optimizing brightness and contrast and will also have illuminated side camera keys. what that means is that when the camera application is on, four of the alphanumeric keys on the keypad will become shortcuts for specific camera functions. Those keys are "1", "4", "7" and "*" and when the camera is on, an illuminated signs below them lit up to guide you on their functions. Besdies that functionality-wise, the K810 is pretty much unchanged - tri-band GSM/GPRS support, 3G networks support with video calls and a 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot camera with auto focus and a Xenon flash.In much the same way that K800 had its twin EDGE brother in the face of K790, now the K810 model also has an EDGE twin - the Sony Ericsson K818 which will be targeted at the Chinese market. The Sony Ericsson K810 and the K818 will be available within Q2 2007 in two colors: Noble Blue and Golden Ivory.</blockquote>
