The Americans say that the effects will be reduced after 50 years (already more than 40 years have gone by) but the Vietnamese say the Russian advise is that it's an understatement and the effects will remain after 100 years.The US is helping out to detox the waterways and lakes and also in other ways. For eg they have helped to setup large sales outlets for affected people to be trained to make a living by making handicrafts etc - where tourists can do shopping.A very sad example of Chemical warfare.</blockquote>
