Kick off is at 4.30 p.m.The Wesleyites had a pretty ordinary season last year and were pushed into the lower division following a series of defeats in the premier division.But this time they are confident of putting up a good performance with a couple of senior players in their ranks.The side will be captained by wing three quarter Zalique Jayah and second row forward Alankara Perera will be the vice captain. The senior players in the Wesley team are fly half Azward Ali, prop forward Dilan de Jong and centre three quarter Azwin Omar.The team coached by S. W. Chang will also include a number of promising players who excelled in the under 17 tournament last year.Science College Mount Lavinia of course have suffered a major setback just before their opening fixture of the new season having lost the services of their captain Lakith Janaka Perera who has shifted to St. Peter's College with immediate effect.Perera was a regular player in the side and also led Science College during the Western Province Under 20 seven a side tournament as well as in the Singer all island sevens tournament worked off recently.In fact Science College reached the quarterfinal stage of the Plate championship in the Western Province sevens and lost to St. Joseph's College in the semifinals of the Cup championship in the all island sevens tournament.The team coached by Amila Mendis will be fielding a new look side with a host of under 17 players in their ranks. Science College have been playing in the Group two of this competition for the past four years and are determined to make an impact in the current season.Tile Thurstan College will confront Prince of WalesCollege Moratuwa in another Group two fixture at Longden Place today. The Thurstanites too have been demoted into the lower division following their unimpressive record last year.In contrast Prince of Wales have made steady progress in the game and will be hoping to maintain the same momentum in their curtain raiser match of the new season.</blockquote>
