Message: <blockquote data-quote="rajitha_ks" data-source="post: 7500775" data-attributes="member: 162025">of course i love my mom and dad..and i'm sure as hell that they love me more than anything else.. leaving the sentimental aspects aside, and looking at it in a scientific perspective, i'd say the reason they love me is because i'm the closest they have next to themselves.. you see i'm 50% of my mom and 50% of dad, and survival of me implies the survival of the gene sequences of my mom and dad... and that's the reason for them to love me than to love someone else of my age..and the why i love my parents? that's interesting..have you seen how a kid of around 10 cry when his mom or dad has passed away? have you seen same expression of a guy around 20, and 30.. ? see, the expression gets less and less intense as the age of the kid at the time of the death of a parent gets higher.. well i remember how my dad reacted when my grand father passed away.. he was saddened alright but his expression was not a very obvious one.. he was more concerned about us than his own dad it seemed.what all that implies is that we humans are so much dependent on our parents at early stages of our lives that we want them with us at all costs. this love progressively fades away as the kid becomes more and more self dependent and eventually when he/she's married and have his/her own children, it i think eventually becomes a faint memory. they still love them, but not as much as they used to when they were young.remember it's the survival of the species, not the individual that eventually matters as far as the evolution is concerned..</blockquote>
