Don't stick to the library. Try to use pure js always, as much as possible. And one more thing, Jquery is not a good solution if you are looking for something beyond dom manipulation. It's good for dom manipulation. But not suitable to create large scale apps. It makes your project a mess. Jquery is very harder to maintain. That's why you should use something like Backbone or Angular.Also Javascript is a Good Object oriented language too.</blockquote>
