I wrote one in 95 !! .. I was just 13 years old...It was a simple 2D car game ! .. I modeled the lil sweet car after my favorite toy those days ( a yellow VW beetle) but I have met chaps who developed (coded) simple games even before that!! .. but Guess they never made it to the limelight !! Network games were there as way back as 90 !! ... also coded by local chaps ! Those days it was very lame codes and nothing called Game engines existed <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":-)" title="Smile    :-)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":-)" /> But... saw some new games developed by some small chaps recently !! .. pretty impressive.. I was Damned to see a whole new episode of Max payne 2  was created on top of Remedy 3D engine by a 16 year old..</blockquote>
