[/FONT]     [FONT=&quot]Lord Buddha had not imposed strict rules regarding meals because the main purpose in Buddhism is something more valuable than a simple meal and monks normally do not choose the items for their meal. They eat what lay people offer and concentrate on their goal. But for lay people the possibility of choosing a meal is there. They should also understand that whenever they promote meat eating they are increasing the number of people who eat meat. Then the number of animals getting killed should be increased as well. So you are contributing to those deaths. If you become a regular meat eater you are supporting the killers by buying their meat on a regular basis. So there’s an animal getting killed every day or week for you. Behind each and every death of an animal there’s pain and the separation of a loved one in the faimily. These animals too have sons and daughters. What right do we have to kill and separate them?[/FONT]</blockquote>
