What I do is, install Nero (with whatever codecs it installs by default), then install PowerDVD and finally install XviD codec. I haven't had any problems when I follow these steps as they are.But if you install them even in that order, I can't guarantee that it will work fine, because you may have already screwed up the codecs. Maybe create a System Restre point and proceed, so that you might be able to go back if something goes wrong.If you are uncertain, try that app Lakmal suggested and find which codec is needed to playback that file, and download it and install it.I'm not also that confident when it comes to video codecs.
