Perhaps that is the main reason I love to show what you don't look at.. If you all use to look at the negative side I would choose the positive. Reality is a mixture of both... Mahinda is not what you see or or what I show.. He is a mixture of both and much more we both know. If we don't see reality.... we are in a dream... I don't see Mahinda as 100% negative.. He may be the best leader who understood Sri Lankan's hearts, mainly weakneses.. he could use them and brought Sri Lanka to great heights, like Buddha used Prince Nanda's craving for beautiful women to make him an Arhath. But Mahinda uses his knowledge to gain cheap material wealth and power for himself and people surround him. That is his mistake. One day when his popularity starts to drop, it will drop rapidly... You will see how people would despise him... All of you will lose heart... I don't try to imagine that day... compared to where he is now it is unimaginable.... The way Premadasa was loved no one thought that people would light fire crackers... I know both the feelings for I experienced both. Without knowing that others did so I wanted to light fire crackers... A cousin luckily stopped me... And at one stage I thouht of him as the best happened to Sri Lanka. I thought somewhat close about Mahinda too. But I lost my faith in him in the 3 months he was the Prime Minister. (Quite early?, compared to many of you) Now I understand how baseless and temporary those feelings, emotions... That's why I smile at the heat and hatred I experience here. It is very easy to imagine a character or a situation in the way we like.. But isn't it madness? We are not living with reality... If you live that kind of life people know the technique would deceive you nicely. You will be deceived by your wife, children, friends, relatives.. everyone. But the fault is with your need to be with a part of reality... It is not just possible. But for you it is curable because you know you want a part of the reality. It is impossible if one think it is the the only reality. You just have to realize the relation ship between this false need and your true failures... and how this need formed in your habbit pattern. The base is formed by the treatment you received mainly from your parents... that their need to keep you happy all the time. You are habituated to that and make you follow anybody who you believe in to make you happy. Very simple. Buddha talked about both but taught the path to be in the middle being aware of both, so none can make you a slave. That is how I stand alone without being affected by both... but aware of both and respond to both without disturbing my state of mind. Too much? Can't help... In life there are no shortcuts.
