Lets see how the two print head work!CanonSends a small electrical current to the resistor in the nozzle which causes ink in the nozzle to heat up and expand causing it to fire out of the nozzle.EpsonSends a small electrical current to the crystal above the nozzle which causes it to vibrate and make the ink fire..This is the problem with Canon.... as their cartridges are refilled ink starts to clog in the sponge which hinders ink flow and this means the print head does not get enough ink... so some nozzles in the print head might not have ink in them when the resistor heats up... guess what happens? The ink is not their and the resistor ends up heating it self.... which causes it to die away....But...In Epson... the crystals just vibrate...... there is no heat involved... but best of all Epson cartridges DO NOT have sponges in them so there is no chance of the nozzle not being filled.... Then...The problem with Epson is! some models use Pigment ink so it tends to clog the nozzle so if you don't print everyday you will have a bit of a problem.But all in all... if you are trying to run a printing business like me Epson is a GO and Canon is a NO GO.Btw...Canon ink flow problems CAN be fixed... you just need to fill the cartridge with water... and dry it... and refill it.
