Kamma is basically, one's actions, good or bad deeds. Every action has a result. If you do good things, you will get good results. And you may get the result in another life. So, if you have been good in your previous life, you may have born beautiful and to a rich family. If another person has done bad deeds, he may face a lot of hardships this life. But what you get is determined not only by kamma. There are other factors, such as the nature of things, weather, thoughts etc. These factors alter the events each person faces. So not all people are born with the same set of assets, and their life events will also be different due to this.</blockquote>
