Ok now say a person is born blind , deformed or whatever.. due to bad karma of his previous life. But that person has no clue for what he was punished; I mean WTF ?? Whats the logic behind it ? If you don't know why you were punished or rewarded then whats the point?? So that others will see and will not do bad because they don't want to end up like the first person ?
