So still nobody knows.   In my personal terms (mind you this is a very personal opinion), punishments with any physical and mental harm is inhumane. In other terms, a punishment to be 'inhumane' it has to punish the person physically and mentally.  Physical punishments are also inhumane to a certain extent, but if it's for a real crime, I don't mind. Like hanging by neck untill death if the criminal has commited a severe crime, I don't mind.  Whipping a woman involves physical and mental punishment elements. So I really don't accept that. And given the crime was wearing a jean, then I won't really accept it.  Again, according to some scholarly research, punishments will not solve or stop all the crimes. In fact some punishments stimulate more crimes and formation of criminal gangs. Best way to stop those crimes are to propagate equality and justise from childhood into ones mind and heart. How to do it.. I don't know. But 1 thing is for sure.
