The mirrorless camera is complimented with two new waterproof, shockproof and freeze proof lenses – the Nikkor AW 11-27.5mm and the Nikkor AW 10mm f/2.8.The 11-27.5mm lens is the more versatile option with its 2.5x zoom range, while the wide angle 10mm lens due to its wider aperture offers shallow depth of field and higher shutter speeds in low-lighting conditions.Talking about the camera itself, the AW1 is waterproof down to 49 feet, shockproof up to 6.6 feet and freeze proof up to 14 degree Fahrenheit. Surprisingly, the pop-up flash too is waterproof as well. The newest addition features a 14.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and the Nikon’s EXPEED 3A image processing engine.Nikon AW1 offers ISO ranging from 160 to 6400.The camera also packs the Action control feature, which as earlier seen on the Coolpix AW110, allows you to control a few of the camera options by swinging it in the air. The AW1 comes with a slew of capture modes, including miniature, soft, night landscape, backlighting, selective color and easy panorama.Another cool feature the camera incorporates is the Full HD 1080p video recording capabilities along with the advanced movie mode. The camera also offers you to shoot video and high-resolution images simultaneously. AW1 is also capable of shooting slow motion videos at either 400fps or 1200fps.The Nikon AW1 has built-in GPS technology and also supports WU-1b wireless mobile adapter, which allows you to wirelessly transfer images to all compatible smart devices. Furthermore, with the wireless mobile adapter application for Android and iOS you can click images with the AW1 remotely.Nikon AW1 rugged camera will be up for grabs as both a single-lens kit and a double-lens kit. The first option will cost you about $800, while the double-lens kit will go for about $1000. Nikon AW1 kits will be available in Black, Silver and White hue, starting from October.</blockquote>
