This is Rs.2 million less that the allocations for 2008. In such a situation Rs.19.1 has been allocated from Vote on Account as days expenses of the President.  Speaking at the budget debate of the Western PC JVP Member Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said when a student of Gurukula Vidyalaya had requested for a pair of running shoes to train for the National Sport Festival and when not even a cricket bat had been given to clubs that had requested for such aid, the Western PC rejected those requests stating there was no money. However, making available a set of fitness equipment to the Temple Trees spending nearly Rs.200,000 is deplorable said Mr. Jayatissa.  Speaking further Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said government politicians have become not king</blockquote>
