grow up dude...thatz da real life in anywhere dude...only small differences
This is exactly what I am talking about... The government says a super life... but REAL LIFE is different... ;) What I am asking is... in super life you cannot show trial without Full Insurance.... but in real life you can because you get a exception BECAUSE you are already a experienced rider who rode 24,000KM... before a law requested you to obtain a License.

    Laws are not Unfair

I do not see an issue except the charges at various points.
First I am sure that the said bikes were bought by thousands as there were no requirement for registration and insurance. The law was that anything below 50 cc was not requied .
I think all would agree that these bikes proliferated and we needed some regulation to control. Most of the riders are young and they were driving these recklessly and lot of people got injured and there was no insurance cover to compensate(third parties).
So, it is clear that there was a clear need to make laws that would require the insurance and registration and etc as in another motor bike over 50 cc
At the moment the category for driving license do not distinguish whether the bike is under 50 or over 50 and you need to qualify for a normal bike to ride this. This is nothing unusual .
The only unfair thing if at all, is to require a full insurance and the normal law is that only third party insuranc is compulsory irrespective of the category of the vehicle.
So, you see the logic behind the new laws and do not blame the President or any other.
If at all blame the unscrupulous business people and innocent people who wanted to gain and undue advantage due to a lapse on the law!
Laws are made according to the environment and needs of the society and this is the normal way.

Existing people are harassed along the way! Isn't it! But people like Hudseen Samarasinghe are telling the Government is PERFECT isn't it!! Bring it on! then why am I complaining here!?! The point is I would never need a FULL insurance after the year anyway... why do I need one to start with.

FYI, Above 50 and under 50 are things of the PAST... its now above 100 and below.. I'm not here to say the laws are bad... I'm here to say the President is bad because he should think of the existing people! Implementation methods must include exceptions (flexible methods to abide the law) for existing people because we are getting harassed due to the lack of it.. thats what unfair law is....

Two Uniforms are not enough haha... University in Sri Lanka are battlefields... which is why new students need training in army camps  (educated people are not suppose to be fighters)... Roads in Moratuwa still suck since 1990's.... Futher more since the Government is lazy, they just carpet road over and over again causing the road to become higher! Causing massive flooding in Moratuwa! Actually this government is not all to blame.... Sinhalese kind is lazy u know ;)

Listen man, what are you saying? the government is just? dude, are you are millionaire? or a person that is always inside your home??? Go out and see people... talk with people... hear them! I'm a social worker... don't tell me how well the government works OK? All the services provided by the government is just a SHOW! nothing more.... best comes to people who lick the Presidents feet! others get photo's not the real thing ;)
I'm no millionaire but I realize that governments (regardless of the party in power) requires money to provide the services that they do provide.
Speaking of uniforms, I along with the rest at our school wore those to school and were quite glad to receive them.
The simply ludicrous situation at universities is the work of the bunch of assholes who calls themselves the student body (or whatever its called). The students that gets qualified to go to a university are not the idiots we see and hear on the news before they go in to the place.
Take politics completely out of the universities so that they are places education once again and it'll be a productive place again.
If you're in social work, then go to any village clinic for mothers and babies and see how many comes to those places from cars. Those services which are given completely free which includes the medicine and the baby food (thriposha). The immunization shots alone are worth about 3000/- if done from a private hospital and we get them for free. 3 packs of thriposha which is quite expensive if you try to buy the same weight's worth of samaposha. Lets not forget that the CWEs are only places where the people who get welfare can buy anything for the welfare cards they receive. To run all these services, the government needs money. This is in addition to the salaries and pensions paid for all public sector workers and the military and infra structure development project.
I'm not saying this government is perfect. Far from it, it has enough problems and corruption to go around but I know better than to blame the president for each and every problem the government, be it local, provincial or central has.

You yourself point out how rich people take what should belong to poor! Laws must be bought to those things... not mopeds... If the President isn't blame worthy for these things it just shows what a bad President is...

And also listen, my father personally knows Mahinda's family... they used to play together in the small days! But Mahinda is changed man, he doesn't even remember my father now. It was infront of my Father that my Grandfather introduced Mahinda to Ms. Bandaranayaka.... He is a cunning man that's all and so is his brother. They believe in "why do they need it" for all Mahinda cares, he likes making me suffer! it just makes him excited on how he can affect people... which is why he managed to finish the war! If Mahinda read this he would be asking me "why can't you walk the 24,000KM" ;) He takes vengeance... My father also knows who he is very well... Do you think Mahinda is stupid, this how he is Punishing the people who rode mopeds without registration ;)

you seem to be suffering from some inferiority complex. The free services the government gives is for all citizens. Not just poor people.
BTW, you're not the first person to make the claim of mahinda was itroduced to Bandaranayaka in from of your folks. I know nothing of this even but I assume it was not a private occasion as it seems to have happened in front of quite a number of people.
Now your personal grievances against mahinda seems to be obviously stemming from the fact that he doesn’t remember your father. Wonder what occasion called for him to remember it ?
So according to you, he personally went to the motor traffic dept and created this law so that you , chirantha7777, has to register your moped and nobody else has register it. So if I ride a moped and the cops stop me, all I have to do is prove that I'm not chirantha7777 and they let me go as this law was made only to you.
You know, you sound as ridiculous as the UNP and JVP idiots on TV.

ah! so SF is the heart of the matter then ? SF dug his own grave by biting the hand that fed him. He lost any respect and integrity he had when he joined up with the very people who said he was not suitable to lead the salvation army let alone a regular army, just so he can get the presidency and the moment he spoke against the very army he lead by claiming war crimes against the LTTE of all things.
And no, I'm not claiming you are an idiot. If you want to do that, feel free. Also I'm not defending mahinda but neither am I blaming him for each and every single problem there is.

Neither am I going to blame him... but there are things that happen under him and this one... so he is blame worthy.... SF did Politics, he had to make deals with the devils (we all do at some point in life).. There is NO HANDs to bite in Politics.... When Clinton saw that Obama was winning she joined hands with him! Thats true Politics ;)

SF told the truth, this isn't the first time in the world the enemy came to the other-side in hopes of doing suicide attacks having white flags as a weapon :)

Plus, there are people who did worse things to this country like KP who are now in AC rooms forgiven by the President.

So its allright for SF to join with the devil and do all sorts of underhand things as that is the nature of politics but not mahinda ? he has to be squeaky clean and be holy ? hypocrisy much ?

Hands in Politics are never Clean, and they are never Holy... otherwise they wouldn't be in Politics in Sri Lanka....

Macho, u yourself now say Mahinda's hands are not clean... so why shouldn't he be blame worthy?

Also remember that only those who live life to notice problem... Your username speaks for it self.... Remember Ms. Bandaranayaka's government imposed limits on the amount of rice you can carry in public transport those days? 1KG and no more? and wanted people to eat Kos and Pol? When she also banned the import of english medicine, people got fed up ;) I hope a knowledgeable person like you can see the resemblance of Mahinda's perspective with Ms. Bandaranayaka's.

I'm not here to say the other parties are better.... Mahinda's idea's are good for war but not for development and people. There is a say "Lowin ekkek eka de kata wei Samatha"

Btw, in-case the President reads this.... :P I'm the son of Mr. Ranjan Perera from the Lotus bookshop in the 19's at Nugegoda. He has been a strong SLFP member since the 1960's and this time for the first time in his life he will vote against the SLFP because as he says "I'm not a Father if I vote for President who causes problems to my only son"
