The Seeduwa police station came under attack by suspected FTZ workers a shorwhile ago, eyewitnesses said.
Policemen in the station had withdrawn in the wake of the attack, and SF commandos and STF personnel have been deployed at the station.
About 50 persons with poles entered the station premises damaged the board and glasses of the station.
Police stations at Ja Ela and Awariwatte also are being guarded by the STF.
The incident took place less than a hour after FTZ workers protested over the death of factory worker Roshen Chanaka who succumbed to his injuries suffered during Monday’s police shooting at Katunayake.
