Why we should not become an IT Guy

Why you want to be technical . Dont you want to be MD or Charmen . Learn MBA.
IT is rubbish I am an IT Guy. If a Doctor with 10 years experience is Brilliant Doctor. But IT Guy with 10 Years experience is rubbish. New guy will have latest Experience. You cannot stop learning. Like accountants,. Marketing is hard at first but becomes cheese cake afterwards.

I don't agree with you. IT is a vast field.
Once you master a section and get experience , it's not hard to find a job.
I know from experience..... If you have interest , it;ll keep u going

How many years experience do you have? think before you talk . All I am saying you have to keep on updating every year. Can you show me any add without age limit in sri lanka for IT.

Depends on YOUR ability machan.
Let's say you prefer selling mobile phones and really love that field, then, after A/Ls do not go to SLIMM or Moratuwa to learn IT-related stuff. One day you will feel tired and you won't get enough courage to go ahead in your occupation.

About me, I'm currently a web developer working for Sony Music and I really like to learn anything new or strange everyday. I don't like commerce so I didn't give it a try.
Many people do IT today because it LOOKS awesome. Many rural people thing sitting behind a computer and living in a room is the best job ever. Don't be ordinary. Perhaps someone will enjoy making chairs and tables.
It completely depend on what you LIKE to be.

Of course, you have to update man...
There are new technologies emerging daily. If your foundation or basic's is good, there is no trouble in keeping up with the new things.

I dont know about the SL IT field much. Im working in Dubai

As far as being an IT guy, i dont find anything wrong with it in generally. If u have ability and interest, u can survive in this field.

As far as being an IT guy, i dont find anything wrong with it in generally. If u have ability and interest, u can survive in this field.

hmm and now a days every business use IT in their works.
Anyways.... IT+ MBA or any IT qualification + management holder will survive and be on the top if he works well.

hey dude if IT doesn't suet it doesn't mean all have da same experience.i knw lot od people who are very successfull in there cariar and earn mre than a CEO/chairmen.IT doesn't suet 4 every 1 all i have 2 sday is do it "IF U LIKE IT" or plz dnt bcz they il end up like u.
