To check computers in Win7, right-click on the “Computer” icon and click “Properties”. The “Computer name, domain and workgroup settings” section lists the name of the workgroup. You may change the workgroup name by clicking on the “Change Settings” link.

To check computers in XP, right-click on the “My Computer” icon, click “Properties”, then click the “Computer Name” tab. You can change the name of the Workgroup by clicking the “Change” button.
