Now I am thinking about travel in your beautiful country in nearly future, by motorbike, around the island. now I have some questions, please help me. Thanks.
1, Is it safe for a foreigner to travel in the former Tamil Tiger Zone?
2, Do I need a license to drive a motorbike? If no, then 3&4
3, Where to buy a (new or 2nd hand) motorbike in Colombo, if possible, also tell me the average price. In China, a brand new manual motorbike cost about 800 USD.
4, Where to rent a motorbike in Colombo?

Its very safe no to come to Sri Lanka because there is no problem

Yes you need to have an International Driving License

Beast option to rent a Bike coz it will cost you more than $1200 to buy a new bike. You ill find many places to rent bikes in Colombo.

It's Safe to come sri lanka, you can visit any places no problem.

You can buy 2nd hand bike for more cheaper, or for RENT after visit read Yellow pages, or Rainbow pages business dictionary, you can get this easily even communication. or Sunday Times News Paper (classified Magazine), you can buy or rent.

You can get rent for vehicle tovisit website. (some website higher price better to check sunday times news paper on every sunday issued)

Actually some of my friends have been Sri Lanka before, they told me how beautiful your country was, and show me the photos, wow, really wonderful.
Currently I have no international driving license so it seems I'd better not to travel by motorbike.
I don't know but if it is possible, I prefer to travel by motorbike, when I travel in southeast asia I rent a motorbike and drive it here and there, in the rent shop they didn't ask for the license, and no policeman checked it. The only explanation is law is different in different counties.
And ... badu pot? sorry I don't know what is badu pot.

if you don't have an International ID card better to surf by bus coz if not you caught to police there will be a Very big problem.
