With an intension of finding some hidden treasure, one person 72 years old some 20 years back had tried to reach the cave where a coffin is kept, the dimension of coffin being 17’ or 18’ x 4’ high. The person was shocked to find a dead body in that coffin. According the sources, the dead body of Ravan was preserved in this coffin by Naga’s of that period with a thought of applying Sanjivani later. It is like impossible to reach to this spot. This research group met some bad incidences while trying to reach there. First attempt brought an attack by a Cheeta. Second attempt brought an attack by Bees. And the third attempt the time they started their helicopter, the weather was good but when they were just to reach there, weather turned too inclement that they had to return back. The area is full of animals & snakes. A further try shall be made. The reality of Ravan shall come to the world soon when the coffin is opened soon. It is felt that still the soul powers of asurs have been protecting the dead body that was well preserved by application of various chemical coatings.

August 3, 2008 - A tight slap on so called "scholars" who profess scientific approach,the recent discovery by Srilanka govt has certainly caused ripples amongst such people.
The Archaeological department has found convincing evidence suggesting existence of Ravana, in the mountain range of Noroliya.The experts say that Ravana ruled SriLanka about 10000 years ago, and he possesed 'Pushpak Viman' (Aeroplanes) and had constructed about 5 Airports on the highest point of Noroliya mountain ranges.
Also a mummy of Ravana has been found in a cave located in one of the hills.Some balm seem to be applied to the body for preserving it, along with some metallic ornaments.
Ravan had his own Aeroplanes,which resembled �Eagles' and also constructed a workshop for repairing the same.Aerodromes which were built by him were destroyed in attack by Lord Ram with a fire weapon(when he had gone to Lanka for retrieving Sita mai).The stones which were damaged during this fiery attack are still found there.And dating has revealed them to be about 10,000 yrs old.

One of the programs telecasted by a Sri Lankan channel (and also a Indian channel) based on historical proofs available with Sri Lankan Government prove that raavana was a part of their society and he ruled a kingdom which was more than what actual Sri Lanka is today.
A program telecasted by these channels prove these points:
1. raavana’s Coffin Available - Either Valmiki or Tulsi Das haven’t mentioned about the last rites performed to raavana after his death in the hands of Rama. Now, Sri Lanka Government has come with a substantial proof that coffin consisting of the dead body of raavana was hidden in a small cave named as ‘raavana Cave’ and some of the tribals in Nuwara Eliya (Noroliya) hills are conserving it. Every time Sri Lankan Government sent special armed forces to this inaccessible hill in dense forest, there was a natural disaster. Still, Lanka Government are on its perfect plan to bring the coffin which has been seen by few of the army people.
