iPhone 4S battery life “shown” in new Galaxy S2 commercial
A scene from the new Samsung Galaxy S II commercial featuring the white version (T-Mobile).
The Korean company is running an advertisement in United States on Thursday to promote its most popular Android smartphone to date, the Samsung Galaxy S2, and to mock the fans of Apple inc.
Aside from the long lines, the commercial also criticize the design of the iPhone 4S (because it looks like an iPhone 4), and surprisingly, the battery life problem reportedly plaguing the new Apple smartphone. One guy in the commercial said, “Uh oh, blogs are saying the battery looks sketchy.” The commercial also includes the “4G” debate.
The new Samsung commercial brags about the Galaxy S2′s larger 4.56-inch screen compared to the iPhone’s 3.5-inch. Samsung is also claiming that the Galaxy S2 got “4G” speeds while the iPhone 4S is flashing the “3G” data connectivity.
The iPhone 4S is Apple’s biggest selling smartphone yet based on the number of pre-orders and the first week sales. According to analysts, Siri and the 8-megapixel camera were the most attractive features, while the questionable battery life problem is its drawback.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S2 is Samsung’s most popular to date based on the first 3-month sales. Samsung is also expected to release a new smartphone this year that will run the latest version of Android, the Galaxy Nexus smartphone with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
