Pacer Rampaul, during his 66-ball stay at the crease, hit six fours and an equal number of sixes to lift the West Indies to 269 for nine in 50 overs, leaving India stunned and their bowlers bereft of ideas.
The 27-year-old Trinidadian also stitched an unbeaten 99-run partnership in 14 overs for the last wicket with Kemar Roach (24), the third highest 10th wicket stand in the history of the game.
The other two notable 10th wicket partnerships were between West Indian greats Vivian Richards and Michael Holding (106 runs against England at Manchester in 1984) and Pakistan's Amir and Saeed Ajmal (103 runs against New Zealand at Abu Dhabi in 2009).
Rampaul created another record of most sixes by a number 10 batsman, clearing the ropes six times.
